World Communion Offering and Neighbors in Need

Macalester Plymouth United Church is currently receiving the World Communion Offering and the Neighbors in Need Special Mission Offering.

For 2026, the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) approved a new lineup of church-wide special offerings including the new World Communion Offering. Causes supported include racial justice, gender justice, peacemaking, global witness, and ecumenical and interfaith relations.

The Neighbors in Need offering through the United Church of Christ (UCC) supports ministries of justice and compassion, with one-third of the offering given to the Council for American Indian Ministries and the remaining two-thirds supporting UCC justice ministries.

We are collecting these special offerings for both denominations at the same time, and each of our denominations will receive half of MPUC’s offering.
