Communications Specialist
Macalester Plymouth United Church (MPUC) is seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to help us tell our story!
MPUC is hiring a part-time Communications Specialist who will focus their work on increasing external awareness of our Church and its ministries, including a new community-based volunteer center (name TBD). The position calls for creating original content and managing digital communications, crafting key messages and reaching out to the broader community and strategic partners across a variety of platforms.
MPUC is a progressive, mid-sized urban Protestant Church with a 170-year history of rich intergenerational worship and a deep commitment to social justice. If you’re passionate about justice, community engagement and digital storytelling, we’d love to hear from you!
Position requires an average of 10 hours/week, some hours on site but primarily remote.
Hourly pay - $25-$32 hour, dependent on experience.

Faith Formation Leader — Youth/Children
Macalester Plymouth United Church (MPUC) is seeking a part-time Faith Formation Leader – Youth/Children to lead our vibrant middle and high school youth ministry and support the engagement of children and their families in the life of the church Sunday mornings.
MPUC is a progressive, LGBTQ+ affirming, justice-seeking Protestant Church with a 170-year history of rich intergenerational worship and learning. We are embarking on an ambitious new strategic vision that centers on community engagement, connection, shared ministry and the launch of a new initiative – a new community-based volunteer center. If you’re passionate about children and youth, building community among families and progressive Christian faith, we’d love to hear from you!
10 hours/week, mostly in person
