Lauren Dickinson is a Macalester Plymouth United Church lifer! She grew up in the church and was active in the youth program as well as a participant on annual mission trips. She has stayed with Macalester Plymouth United Church because of its commitment to inclusion and social justice – and because the community is just SO GREAT. Lauren loves working with the current youth program supporting and engaging junior and senior high schoolers in times of silliness and seriousness and everything in between.
When Lauren is not working with the MPUC youth, she is working at the University of Minnesota in international education – sending business students abroad and occasionally traveling with groups too. Lauren is also pursuing her Ph.D. in Leadership in Intercultural and International Education at the University of Minnesota. In addition, she holds a B.A. in French from Grinnell College and an M.A. in Comparative International Development Education from the University of Minnesota. After college, she spent two years living in France teaching English and later completed a fellowship in Togo with Operation Crossroads Africa. Lauren loves to travel and has been to every continent except Antarctica!
