What's Happening at MPUC
For Such a Time as this:
Building Prophetic Resistance
January 28 from 1-4pm
Shiloh Temple (1201 W. Broadway Ave,
an interfaith multicultural coalition of over 100 faith communities, is
inviting people of faith from across Minnesota along with Governor Dayton,
Senators Franken and Klobuchar and many mayors and other elected officials to
declare what it means to be a person of faith in this time. First it means
resistance: resisting the breaking of the social contracts around medical care,
senior care and child care that have we established in this country decades
ago. To resist legislation of local interference that would stand in the
way of towns and cities raising their own minimum wage or guaranteeing paid
sick time. To resist the deportation of undocumented families. Also, to
cast an alternative vision of a state that has a caring economy. Macalester
Plymouth leaders have committed to bring 75 church members to this event. Use
the above link to register or call the church office for assistance.

Worship at 10am
From Generation to Generation: A
What are some of the generational
differences in our society? What spiritual challenges are unique to Millennials,
Gen Xers, Boomers, and the Greatest Generation? What spiritual gifts do
each bring? One of the unique and wonderful gifts of the church is its mix
of generations. We are particularly blessed to have a preacher from each
of the last four generations. This sermon series features MPUC preachers
speaking about their own generation's spiritual lives. Come and reflect on
your own generation and learn more about the others.
