Worship @ 10am

“One Grain of Rice”  The Chapel Choir will share their first musical puppet show titled One Grain of Rice. This colorful piece is based on a folktale by Demi. The story introduces Rani, a young girl who uses honesty and wisdom to save her village and convince their misguided Raja that he ought to rule with temperance and generosity, not greed and arrogance. Please come to hear this lively tale and share in Chapel Choir’s hard work and dedication. It’s going to be a special event for sure and we would love to see you there.

The Sanctuary Renewal Team has resumed its work with the architects at HGA. Congregational feedback about the previous design was given to HGA. In response, they came back with two possible design options. The main difference is whether or not to paint the Sanctuary ceiling beams. Images of the two options will be on display in the sanctuary along with samples of the proposed paint colors.

Concluding on Sunday, Oct. 30, there will be a box in the social hall collecting member preferences between the two designs. The congregational feedback will help guide HGA to a final design that will be presented to Session in November. When approved, the design will be turned into plans and specifications that can then go out for bid to contractors. Final timing and budget for this project will be determined by the Session within the overall scope and priorities of the capital campaign.
